Hallux Valgus (bunion): innovation in surgical techniques

Radiographic Evaluation of the Percutaneous PBS Technique for the Treatment of Hallux Valgus

A few days ago, a scientific study on the radiographic evaluation of the PBS technique for the treatment of hallux valgus was published. The 17 patients with moderate to severe hallux valgus, who were operated on exclusively using the PBS technique, showed adequate correction of radiographic parameters.

The study was authored by Brazilian orthopedic colleagues who learned the technique from Dr. Andrea Bianchi, the father of the PBS (Percutaneous Bianchi System) technique. Dr. Michele Risi, a surgeon from the PBS Team, also participated in and co-authored the study. https://jfootankle.com/JournalFootAnkle/article/view/1536
